Red Bull Switch Up 2018
21 Nov 2018
SKINS Teamwear are proud to have been the selected kit provider for the 2018 Red Bull Switch Up event last weekend.
A total of 72 teams battled it out at the Copper Box Arena in London, playing a unique form of netball where teams consist of four players, matches are played on half of the size of a standard netball court and anyone can shoot.
Still comprising of the essential elements and rules that make Netball, well, Netball, Switch Up is designed to test the players for their ‘all-round’ abilities in a fast paced, dynamic game where adaptation is key.
How It Works
All four players are expected to play as both attackers and defenders, where the teams are split into Centre Court Defenders and Shooter Players.
All players can shoot, but Centre Court Defenders are permitted from entering the D and can only shoot from outside, whereas Shooter Defenders can go anywhere and shoot from anywhere on the court.
Shooting from inside the D – 1 point
Shooting from outside the D – 2 points
Last weekend’s Switch Up tournament saw victory for the Mixed Nets who defeated Oxford University with a 14-7 win in the final.
Chad James, SKINS Teamwear’s Director said: “We were delighted to be involved in this year’s Red Bull Switch Up event by supplying all the teamwear for the players and umpires. It was great to see the players in action at this unique netball tournament”
